While most users are on iOS 13.1.2, you have the option to run something a bit newer. We're talking about beta testing, specifically iOS 13.2. Apple released the first developer and public betas for 13.2 last Thursday, Oct. 3. Now, the company is doing it all over again, with the release of iOS 13.2 developer beta 2.

Keep in mind this doesn't include the public beta, which likely won't come out alongside the developer beta. Instead, we estimate that Apple will send out public beta 2 around 4 p.m. EDT (1 p.m. PDT) today, or 1 p.m. EDT tomorrow. If you're a public beta tester, keep an eye on your Software Updates page around those times.

The biggest change we see so far? New emojis. Emojipedia posted in tandem with the release of this beta, reporting that 13.2 beta 2 is the first update to include Emoji 12.0. New emojis include pinch, yawn, otter, sloth, Saturn, and banjo, among many other fun additions.

What else is new? There's a new "Delete App" Quick Action when using 3D Touch or Haptic Touch on a home screen icon, which makes deleting an app much faster than the traditional "hold, wait, then tap the (X)." Also new in Quick Actions, "Rearrange Apps" is now "Edit Home Screen." You'll notice a new sound when using 3D Touch and Haptic Touch.

Apple also included a preannounced "Improve Siri & Dictation" option in "Analytics & Improvements," disabled by default. You'll notice a new "Siri & Dictation History" menu in "Siri & Search," with an option to delete said history, and you can finally change video recording settings from the Camera app on iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max.

The first beta brought two major upgrades to iOS 13 — first, the new camera systems on the iPhone 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max received "Deep Fusion," Apple's computational photography update. Second, Announce with Siri finally made its reintroduction, after disappearing during beta testing for iOS 13.

Apple's release notes usually provide good insight into changes, especially concerning bugs, but 13.2 dev beta 1's notes were unusually brief. Dev beta 2 cuts them even shorter, discussing one resolved issue with NFC, without mention of any of iOS 13's many, many bugs:

To update your iPhone to iOS 13.2 dev beta 2, you will need to be a registered developer. You can use the restore image for your iPhone available in the Developer portal (install with iTunes or Finder) or install the configuration profile, then update over the air. If you already have the profile installed on your iPhone, head over to Settings –> General –> Software Update to start installing the latest beta build, or wait until it installs automatically if "Automatic Updates" is enabled.
