The next big event Apple is holding is WWDC 2018, its Worldwide Developers Conference, is about to happen. If you want to see the first glimpse of iOS 12 for yourself, as well ARKit improvements, Apple Watch news, and maybe even some macOS announcements, here's how you can tune into the event right at home from your computer or mobile device.

Make sure to clear two hours up from your schedule, at least, starting at 10 a.m. PDT (1 p.m. EDT) on Monday, June 4, 2018. That's when the livestream will start on Apple's website. The actual event is taking place in San Jose, California, at the McEnery Convention Center, and all the usual suspects are expected to talk, such as Tim Cook, chief executive officer, and Craig Federighi, senior vice president of software engineering.

UPDATE, JUNE 5: Apple has uploaded the keynote to YouTube, so anyone can watch it right here. You can also still watch the keynote on Apple's site if you want. The rest of this article has not been updated to show that Apple made their livestream available to more devices and platforms than previously ever done.

Official Requirements for Watching the Keynote

In order to watch Apple's stream, you will need to have one of the following:

Apple notes that you may be able to watch its keynote livestream using recent versions of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox that support MSE (Media Serice Extensions), as well as H.264 (video) and AAC (audio) formats. Other modern web browsers that support those requirements should also work.

You can also AirPlay the livestream to an Apple TV (second gen. or later) as long as you have the latest Apple TV software or tvOS and latest iOS or macOS versions.

Where to Watch the Keynote Presentation

As noted above, you can access the WWDC 2018 keynote from the WWDC app on your iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, or Apple TV, as well as the Apple Events app or channel on the Apple TV. If you're on a computer, just visit the following link to access the livestream.

How Android Users Can Watch

There is not an "official" way for Android users to watch any WWDC 2018 livestreamed sessions. However, you will be able to access the live feed using the latest version of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, which both support MSE, H.264, and AAC as per Apple's requirements, on Android phones and tablets. Other modern web browsers will also likely work.

You should be able to watch the Apple event via most popular web browsers on Amazon Fire tablets, too, if you're into Kindle tech.

You can also do things the hard way by pasting the direct video feed of the keynote into VLC for Android or VLC for Fire. But since many modern browsers support Media Source Extensions and H.264/AAC formats, it shouldn't be an issue.
