Despite numerous reports announcing its stateside arrival, "Final Fantasy Awakening" has yet to show up in the iOS App Store, much to the chagrin of millions of fans in the U.S. Unfortunately, the game seems to be stuck in soft-launch limbo, with no word as to when it'll land stateside. With a little hack, however, you can give this immersive game a try right now.
Set in the fictional world of Orience, Final Fantasy Awakening will pit you against an empire and its unstoppable mechanized horde that's hellbent on world domination. Thankfully, you won't be taking on this massive quest alone, as the game gives you the ability to form your very own party of ragtag heroes of varying skills — from swordsmen and sharpshooters to mages — that you collect as you battle.
Of course, Final Fantasy wouldn't be complete if it didn't contain the usual RPG elements are present, such as leveling up your heroes along with their gear through combat and experience, as well as collecting powerful Eidolons like the mighty Bahamut that you can summon during combat to devastate your foes. If those weren't enough, you can compete with other players in epic PvP battles for epic loot.
Because of its soft-launched status, Final Fantasy Awakening isn't available for download for regions outside Australia, Philippines, or New Zealand. Fortunately, there's a fairly simple workaround to let you download the game, so if you'd like to give this game a try before it arrives in the United States, we've got you covered.
Download & Install Final Fantasy Awakening
Final Fantasy Awakening requires iOS 9 or higher. And since the game is only available in Australia, New Zealand, and the Philippines, you'll need to create an Apple ID that's based in either one of those countries before you can install it. In this case, we recommend either New Zealand or the Philippines, since most soft launch games get released there first.
Making a new App Store login set in a different country is pretty easy to do — just sign up for a new Apple ID using a valid email account and a realistic home address for the country your country of choice. Once you do, simply sign into the spoofed account on your iOS device. We have a more thorough walkthrough regarding this topic, so check out our full tutorial at the link below if you'd like to learn more.
After setting up your New Zealand-based App Store account, the rest of the process will be as straightforward as installing any game or app. So head to the iOS App Store and search for Final Fantasy Awakening to install it or tap one of the following links from your iOS device.

Keep in mind that Final Fantasy Awakening is still technically a work in progress and far from a final product. Because of that, don't be surprised if you experience some bugs as you play. We tested the game on an iPad Pro and iPhone 8 (both running iOS 11.2.2) and found that the game ran as it should. How are you liking this latest Final Fantasy title?
