Apple doesn't make it very easy to delete things quickly from your Photos library, mainly for two reasons. First of all, if you delete multiple pictures at once, it's difficult to know the full details of each individual one you're selecting because the tiny thumbnails don't show very much detail. Secondly, if you delete the pictures one-by-one, you'll be able to view them in full screen, but it will take forever. And dealing with a delete confirmation each time is enough to drive anyone crazy.

Even if you connect your iPhone to your computer and use Image Capture, you can't preview large versions of each image, either.

If you're frustrated with these stock methods of deleting unwanted images from your iOS 8 device, we've got a great alternative for you.

Pare Down, from developer Fly Soup, allows you to use Tinder-esque controls to quickly keep or delete photos from your library. To begin, tap on Pare Down in the app, then swipe right to keep a picture and left to mark it for deletion.

When you're finished, tap Done. Pare Down will then ask you if you want to delete the photos that you swiped to the left—tap Delete to get rid of all them.

Pare Down allows for a full screen view, which makes it much easier to decide whether I want to keep an image or get rid of it quickly—something that iOS doesn't offer. In just a few seconds, I was able to delete thirty-one pictures and screenshots, and I could have gone through many more if I wanted to.
