SharePlay is arguably one of the most significant features to hit FaceTime since group calls, and it's still hard to find apps that support shared experiences in FaceTime. Apple does list a few apps, but there is no official index of all the apps with SharePlay integration. That's where we come in.
We've scoured the App Store and the internet in search of all the apps that support SharePlay and listed them neatly below. Aside from Apple's own apps, we've categorized the apps below into different types, and you can jump right to the section you want using the following links.

SharePlay Basics
SharePlay was introduced at 2021's Worldwide Developer's Conference as an upcoming feature of iOS 15. While iOS 15 was released on Sept. 20, 2021, SharePlay didn't make it to Apple devices until iOS 15.1, iPadOS 15.1, tvOS 15.1, and macOS 12.1 later that year.
The primary feature of SharePlay lets you share your device's screen with other people on the FaceTime call, as well as view other people's screen shares. So you can watch someone navigate their iPhone, show someone specific documents, and more. You can also stream movies, TV shows, and music in sync with family and friends, complete with controls that anyone in the call can access.
SharePlay has become much more helpful as third-party developers incorporate the feature into their apps. An update in iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4 made it even better by bringing SharePlay to the Share Sheet.
You'll need to start or join a FaceTime call to share your screen, then select the "Share My Screen" button. If you want to SharePlay media from a supported app or service, start or join a FaceTime call, open the app in question, then hit the "SharePlay" button on the pop-up. Alternatively, since 15.4, you can open the app in question, hit the Share button, tap "SharePlay" in the Share Sheet, add contacts, then hit "FaceTime" to start sharing in a new call right away.
Supported Devices
SharePlay comes preinstalled on devices running at least iOS 15.1, iPadOS 15.1, and macOS Monterey 12.1. It's also supported on Apple TVs running tvOS 15.1 and later, but only for viewing SharePlays from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch on a bigger screen.
To see what version of the operating system you're running on an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple TV, go to Settings –> General –> About –> Software Version. On a Mac computer, go to Apple Icon –> About This Mac from the menu bar.
- Any iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 15.1 or later
- Any iPad with iPadOS 15.1 or later
- Any Mac with macOS 12.1 or later
- Any Apple TV with tvOS 15.1 or later
Supported Apps
Apple and third-party developers have created various apps that support SharePlay with FaceTime, all of which are listed below. Some apps aren't free or have in-app purchases or subscriptions, such as most music and video streaming services, but prices are provided where applicable.
While all of the following apps have official SharePlay integration, keep in mind that other apps on your device that are not listed below may still work when sharing your device's screen.
Apple Apps
As expected, some of Apple's own apps support SharePlay experiences. These are the only apps you can use with SharePlay, not counting apps like Files, iMovie, and Pages that work with Share My Screen.
- Apple Music: Listen to songs and music videos on Apple Music with other subscribers. It does not work on the Apple Music Voice Plan, only on plans for students, individuals, and families. ($9.99/month or $99/year, $4.99/month for students, $14.99/month for family, or bundled in Apple One plans)
- Apple TV+: Watch your favorite Apple TV+ shows with other subscribers. ($4.99/month, $49.99/year, or bundled in Apple One plans)
- Apple Fitness+: Work out with other subscribers. ($9.99/month, $79.99/year, or bundled in Apple One Premier for $29.95/month)
Apple Arcade apps, App Store, Books, Camera, Clock, Files, Health, iMovie, Keynote, Maps, Messages, News, Notes, Numbers, Pages, Phone, Photos, Podcasts, Safari, Settings, Stocks, TestFlight, Tips, Translate, Wallet, Watch, and Weather all work with Share My Screen.
Movies, TV Shows, and Videos
As you could imagine, there are a lot of third-party apps that let you watch movies, television shows, and videos with people when you can't physically be there with them. Most of these apps have a subscription.
- BET+: Watch Black Culture TV and movies with other subscribers. ($9.99/month or $94.99/year)
- Disney+: Watch Marvel, Pixar, and other Disney movies and TV shows with other subscribers. ($7.99/month or $79.99/year)

- STARZ: Watch hundreds of popular movies and TV shows, including "Spider-Man: Homecoming," "Escape Room: Tournament of Champions," and Starz originals, with other subscribers. ($8.99/month or $74.99/year)
Unfortunately, several video, movie, and TV apps have yet to adopt Apple's SharePlay feature. These include Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Peacock TV: Stream TV & Movies, Tubi - Watch Movies & TV Shows, Discovery+: Stream TV Shows, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and more.
Sports Games and Concerts
If you're looking to watch sports, browse sports scores and stats, or virtually attend concerts with your friends or family, you may have a little luck. A few apps allow you to watch sports programs or concerts over SharePlay. However, you do have to pay to use these apps.
- Digital Concert Hall: Watch classical concerts with other subscribers. ($9.99/week, $19.99/month, or $169.99/year, free version not supported)
- ESPN: Live Sports & Scores: Watch your favorite sports games and matches with other subscribers. ($6.99/month or $69.99/year, free version not supported)

- UFC: Watch livestreams of combat sports with other users. ($9.99/month, $54.99/every six months, or $95.88/year)
Quite a few sports and concert apps don't support SharePlay, including MLB, CBS Sports App Scores & News, NFL, NHL, NBC Sports, and Fox Sports: Watch Live.
Music, Podcasts, and Audio
Many apps for music, audio, and podcasts can use SharePlay over FaceTime. Most notably, Spotify supports it.
- BetterSleep: Relax and Sleep: Get cozy and listen to all your favorite content with other users. (free or $59.99/year)

Many different streaming platforms for music, audio, and podcasts do not support SharePlay yet, including Pandora: Music & Podcasts, SoundCloud - Music & Songs, YouTube Music, Amazon Music: Songs & Podcasts, Deezer: Music & Podcasts, and TIDAL Music.
Games
There are a few different games you can use SharePlay with. Most of them are free with in-app purchases for some additional extras.
- Guessing Game for SharePlay: Play the game's two game modes — Guess the Phrase or Guess the Drawing — with other users. (free, has in-app purchases)
- Kahoot! Play & Create Quizzes: Play the popular game by sharing your screen with others. (free, has in-app purchases)

- Share+: YouTube on SharePlay: Watch YouTube videos, share PDFs, play games, and more with other users. (free, has in-app purchases)
There aren't that many games you'd expect to be able to play over FaceTime. Most notably, Apple doesn't have any titles in Apple Arcade that support SharePlay. However, the games above are great for the whole family.
Social Media
A few different social media apps have support for SharePlay. However, except Apollo, most allow you to stream video content with other users.
- Apollo for Reddit: Browse Reddit with other users. (free, has in-app purchases)
- TikTok: Browse the latest TikTok trends and memes with other users. (free)
- Twitch: Live Game Streaming: Watch your favorite live streamers play video games and more with other users. (free)
- Popshop Live: Browse this livestreaming shop for small businesses and more with other users. (free)
Popular apps that don't currently support SharePlay include Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Reddit, and Instagram.
Real Estate
You can browse through homes and look at pictures together over FaceTime by using two of the most popular house-listing apps.
- Redfin: Browse real estate listings with other users. (free)
- Zillow: Search for your dream home on one of the most popular home-listing services with other users. (free)
Unfortunately, some house-listing apps don't support SharePlay, such as Realtor.com and Trulia Real Estate: Find Homes. Keep in mind that you can still share your screen and browse that way. However, it won't be a seamless experience if you use one of these apps.
Fitness
Some apps allow you to work out with your friends over FaceTime. Most of these apps have a limited free version with a subscription.
- Asana Rebel: Get in Shape: Get in shape by working out with other users. (free, $15.99/month, or $35.99/year)
- BetterMe: Health Coaching: Workout with other users by challenging them. (free, $4.99/week, $29.99/every three months, or $119.99/year)

- Workout Plan Bot - Workout Log: Log your exercise and start a group workout with other users. (free, $0.99/month, $10.49/year, or $12.99/lifetime)
Many workout apps have not added support for SharePlay yet, including Workouts by Muscle Booster, FitOn Workouts & Fitness Plans, AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run, and Fitbod Workout & Fitness Plans.
Productivity
Most of these have in-app purchases but could be very useful for virtual meetings or those wanting to draw over video chat with friends. With SharePlay, FaceTime is a great way to hold meetings with business partners, sports teammates, school project classmates, and more.

- Whiteboard Explain Everything: Replace your classroom's physical whiteboard by using this as a tool to excel your student's education. (free, $9.99/month, or $89.99/year)
Many productivity apps don't support SharePlay, and it's a shame they don't. Microsoft's Office apps aren't compatible (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.), nor does Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote). Other apps that don't have SharePlay functionality built-in include Microsoft Whiteboard, Goodnotes 5, and Notability. However, as noted above, you can still share your screen in these apps without the full SharePlay experience.
Miscellaneous
A few SharePlay-compatible apps, ranging from weather apps to translator apps, don't fit into the categories above.
- Cameo - Personal celeb videos: Watch your celebrity cameo videos with other users. (free, has in-app purchases)
